Human Recombinant Prolactin produced in E.coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 200 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 23007 Dalton. The sequence of the first five N-terminal amino acids is Met-Leu-Pro-Ile-Cys. Accession no. P01236.

Biological Activity: ED50 determined by dose-dependent stimulation of the proliferation of rat lymphoma cells Nb2-11 <0.065ng/ml corresponding to a Specific Activity of 15,385,000IU/mg.
Reconstitute lyophilized Recombinant Human Prolactin in sterile H2O to not less than 100ug/ml. Can be diluted further in other aqueous solution.
STORAGE AND STABILITY
Although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, product is best stored desiccated below -18oC. Following reconstitution, product can be stored at 4°C for 2-7 days. For long term storage, reconstituted product is best stored at -18oC with the addition of a stabilizing protein such as 0.1% HSA or BSA. Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
