The NMDA receptor (NMDAR), a glutamate receptor, is the predominant molecular device for controlling synaptic plasticity and memory function. NMDAR is a heterotetramer of two NR1 and two NR2 subunits. Multiple receptor isoforms with distinct brain distributions and functional properties arise by selective splicing of the NR1 transcripts and differential expression of the NR2 subunits.
Antigen: Fusion protein corresponding to aa 42-361 (extracellular N-terminus) of rat NR1 (accession no. NP_058706.1).
Host Species: Mouse
Antibody Class: IgG1
This antibody recognizes human, mouse, and rat NR1.
Immunoblotting: use at 1-2ug/ml. A band of ~105kDa is detected.
Immunohistochemistry: use at 1-5ug/ml.
These are recommended concentrations. Enduser should determine optimal concentrations for their applications.
Positive control: Rat brain membranes.
Dilute in PBS or medium which is identical to that used in the assay system.

This product is stable for at least 1 year at -20°C. Freeze in multiple aliquots to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
