Format: Protein G-purified antibody in PBS, pH 7.4
BACKGROUND
Escherichia coli are gram-negative bacteria commonly found in the lower intestine of warm- blooded animals. Most E. coli serotypes are harmless normal flora but can cause urinary tract infections if they enter the urinary tract. Some serotypes can cause severe food poisoning.
SPECIFICATION SUMMARY
Antigen: A pool of E. coli serotypes O18 (ATCC #23513), O44 (ATCC #13736), O112 (ATCC #12804), and O125 (ATCC #12808).
Host Species: Mouse
Specificity: These antibodies recognize E. coli serotypes O2a/2b, O7, O11, O18, O44, O75, O112, and O125. Not all E. coli O serotypes have been tested. These antibodies do not cross- react with Enterobacter aerogenes, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Proteus mirabilis, Proteus vulgaris, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, or Serratia marcescens.
APPLICATIONS
These antibodies have been qualified for use in ELISA to detect E. coli.
DILUTION INSTRUCTIONS
Dilute in PBS or medium that is identical to that used in the assay system.
STORAGE AND STABILITY
These antibodies are stable for at least one (1) year at -20°C to -70°C. Store product in appropriate aliquots to avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
For in vitro investigational use only. Not for use in therapeutic or diagnostic procedures.
