ALG-2 Interacting Protein-X (ALIX) Monoclonal Antibody
Catalog No.: 90001 (clone 8E8) Format: 100ug, Protein A-purified, lyophilized, 0.1M Tris, 0.1M glycine, 2% sucrose.
ALG-2-interacting protein-X (ALIX), also known as AIP1, is a cytoplasmic protein ubiquitously expressed and concentrated in phagosomes and exosomes. ALIX may regulate apoptosis since it binds apoptosis-linked gene 2 (ALG-2), a Ca2+-binding protein necessary for cell death. Inhibiting ALG- 2 expression protects cells from death induced by several stimuli, an effect similar to that seen with overexpression of the C-terminal half of ALIX which contains the ALG-2-interacting domain.
Antigen: Recombinant human ALIX protein.
Host species: Mouse. Antibody Class: IgG1. Preservative: None.
This antibody recognizes human ALIX protein.
Immunoblotting: use at 1-5ug/ml. A band of ~96kDa is detected.
Immunohistochemistry: use at 5- 10ug/ml.
These are recommended concentrations. Enduser should determine optimal concentrations for their applications.
Reconstitute in distilled water.
STORAGE AND STABILITY
This product is stable for at least one (1) year at -20°C to -70°C. Reconstituted product should be stored in appropriate aliquots to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
For in vitro investigational use only. Not for use in therapeutic or diagnostic procedures.
