Biological Function Tyrosine protein phosphatase which functions as a dosage-dependent inducer of mitotic progression. Directly dephosphorylates CDK1 and stimulates its kinase activity. Also dephosphorylates CDK2 in complex with cyclin E, in vitro.

Description Detection of human CDC25a by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Nuclear Extract (0.5 or 1.0 mg per IP reaction; 20% of IP loaded) from HEK293T cells. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-CDC25a antibody 13022 (lot 13022-2) used for IP at 6 µg per reaction. CDC25a was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-CDC25a antibody. For blotting immunoprecipitated CDC25a, 13022 was used at 1 µg/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 3 minutes.
