Yersinia pestis Capsular F1 Antigen Monoclonal Antibody
Catalog Nos.: 18740 (YBF19)
Size: 200 ug purified antibody in PBS, pH 7.4.
Y. pestis uses host cell nutrients to produce several virulence factors, thus enabling it to damage host cells and avoid phagocytosis and other host defenses. Capsular F1 antigen is one of these virulence factors and a major surface component of Y. pestis. It is present on the outer membrane of Y. pestis as an oligomeric protein comprised of multiple similar hydrophobic protein subunits. Capsular F1 antigen is initially produced as a 17.6 kD protein. During transfer of this protein to the surface, the signal peptide is removed and the resulting molecular weight of the protein is 15.6 kD.
Antigen: Purified capsular F1 antigen of Y. pestis strain EV76.
Host Species: Mouse
Antibody Class: IgG1
Preservative: 0.1% NaN3
This antibody specifically recognizes Y. pestis capsular F1 antigen. It does not cross-react with Y. pseudo- tuberculosis or Y. enterocolitica.
Immunoblotting: use at 5 ug/ml.
Double Sandwich ELISA: use as coating antibody at 5 ug/ml; use as detect antibody at 1 ug/ml.
Immunohistochemistry: use at 5-10 ug/ml.
Dilute in PBS or medium which is identical to that used in the assay system.
STORAGE AND STABILITY
This antibody is stable for at least one (1) year at -20°C. Avoid multiple freeze- thaw cycles.
For in vitro investigational use only. Not for use in therapeutic or diagnostic procedures.
