Specificity Information
Specificity This antibody recognizes human SERPINB10 protein, a gene product that is expressed in human bone marrow cells. Members of the human serpin family regulate a diverse array of serine and cysteine proteinases associated with fibrinolysis, coagulation, inflammation, cell mobility, cellular differentiation, and apoptosis. Most serpins are secreted and found in blood and extracellular fluids. A subset of the serpin family, the ov-serpins, are intracellular as well.
Target Name Serpin B10
Target ID SERPINB10
Uniprot ID P48595
Alternative Names Bomapin, Peptidase inhibitor 10, PI-10
Gene Name SERPINB10
Sequence Location Nucleus. Cytoplasm. Note=Mostly found in the nucleus.
Biological Function Protease inhibitor that may play a role in the regulation of protease activities during hematopoiesis and apoptosis induced by TNF. May regulate protease activities in the cytoplasm and in the nucleus. {PubMed:10871600, PubMed:7592909}.
