Synapse-associated protein (SAP) 102 is a member of the membrane-associated guanylate kinase protein family and is a homolog of the Drosophilia dis large tumor suppressor protein. SAP102 has extensive sequence homology with the PSD95 family of proteins that facilitate ion channel clustering at synaptic terminals. SAP102 consists of three 90 amino acid PDZ domains at its amino terminus, a Src homology 3 domain, and a guanylate kinase domain. All three PDZ domains of SAP102 participate in binding to the NMDA receptor, interacting specifically with the carboxyl-terminal domain of the N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor 2B (NR2B). SAP102 also interacts with a synaptic ras-GTPase acativating protein synGAP through its PDZ domains.
Antigen: Fusion protein aa 1-120 of rat SAP 102 (accession no. Q62936).

Antibody Class: IgG1
This antibody recognizes human, mouse, and rat SAP102. It does not cross-react with PSD95, SAP97, or Chapsyn-110.
Immunoblotting: use at 1ug/ml. A band of ~105kDa is detected.
This is a recommended concentration. User should determine optimal concentrations for their application.
Positive control: Rat brain lysate.
Dilute in PBS or medium which is identical to that used in the assay system.

This antibody is stable for at least one (1) year at -20°C. Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
