Recombinant Human Acidic FGF1
Catalog No.: 45101
Source: Genetically-engineered E. coli.
Molecular Weight: 15,000 daltons
Diluent: 0.1% trifluoroacetic acid + 40% acetonitrile.
Purified by heparin affinity chromatography and HPLC; single band at 1ug on silver-stained SDS-PAGE.
The activity of acidic FGF at 1-10ng/ml is determined by a cellular proliferation assay using mouse fibroblasts. The optimal concentration of this product for use with other cell types must be determined by the end user.
In the presence of heparin, 45101 binds to most cells that express FGF receptor; binds to all known isoforms of FGF receptor.
Dilute with either 0.1% TFA/40% acetonitrile or PBS/0.1% CHAPS for best stability and to prevent absorption of product on walls of containers.
STORAGE AND STABILITY
This product is stable for at least one (1) year at -20°C to -70°C. Keep frozen until use. Store product in appropriate aliquots to avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
