Pannexin-2 Monoclonal Antibody
Catalog No.: 56543 (clone S121A-31)
Size: 100ug in PBS, pH 7.4; 50% glycerol, 0.09% sodium azide. Purified by Protein G affinity chromatography.
The Pannexin gene family encodes a class of putative gap junction proteins. Pannexins are highly conserved in invertebrates and mammals. Mammalian Pannexin-1 and Pannexin-3 are closely related, while Pannexin-2 is more distantly related. Pannexin-2 is a transmembrane protein expressed in the central nervous system that is unable to assemble in homomeric channels but forms heteromeric channels with Pannexin-1.
Antigen: Fusion protein corresponding to aa 11-664 (extracellular and cytoplasmic domains) of rat Pannexin-2 (accession no. P60571).
Host Species: Mouse
Antibody Class: IgG1
This antibody recognizes rat Pannexin-2.
Immunoblotting: use at 1ug/ml. Predicted molecular weight is 70kDa.
Positive control: Rat brain lysate.
These are recommended concentrations. User should determine optimal concentrations for their application.
Dilute in PBS or medium which is identical to that used in the assay system.
