Research Areas Phosphospecific Antibodies
Background MyoD encodes a nuclear protein that is a member of the basic helix-loop-helix family of transcription factors and the myogenic factors subfamily. It regulates muscle cell differentiation by inducing cell cycle arrest which is required for myogenic initiation. MyoD is also involved in muscle regeneration. It activates its own transcription which may stabilize the commitment to myogenesis.
Handling
Storage This antibody is stable for at least one (1) year at -20°C.
Dilution Instructions Dilute in PBS or medium that is identical to that used in the assay system.
Application Instructions Immunoblotting: use at dilution of 1:500-1:1,000. A band of ~40kDa is detected.
These are recommended working dilutions.
End users should determine optimal dilutions for their applications.
