Marburg virus is a member of the Filovirus family of RNA viruses. It causes an often fatal febrile disease with hemorrhagic syndrome and is highly contagious. Marburg virus was first detected in 1967 following an outbreak in a German vaccine production facility where production technicians had contact with Ugandan green monkeys. Little is known about the pathogenesis of Marburg virus, and there is currently no effective treatment for the disease it causes.
Antigen: Formaldehyde-inactivated purified Marburg virus.

This antibody recognizes high molecular weight protein under non-reducing conditions and ~30kDa protein band under reducing conditions in Western blotting.
Immunoblotting: use at 5ug/ml. A band of approx. 30kDa is detected under reducing conditions.
ELISA: use at 5-10ug/ml.
These are recommended concentrations. Endusers should determine optimal concentrations for their applications.
Dilute in PBS or medium that is identical to that used in the assay system.
STORAGE AND STABILITY
This antibody is stable for at least one (1) year at 4°C or -20°C. Store product in appropriate aliquots to avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
