Nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB) is a ubiquitous transcription factor and key mediator of gene expression during immune and inflammatory responses. NF-κB activates numerous genes in response to extracellular stimuli, such as IL-1, TNFα, and LPS. NF-κB is associated with IκB in cytoplasm, which inhibits NF-κB activity. IκB is phos-phorylated by the IκB kinase (IKK) complex which contains IKKα, IKKβ, and IKKε. A novel molecule in the IKK complex, designated IKKγ, interacts with IKKβ and is required for the activation of IKK complex and NF-κB by LPS, PMA, TNF, and IL-1. IKKγ also binds to RIP and NIK and mediates TNF-induced NF-κB activation.
Antigen: Peptide corresponding to aa 400-416 of human IKKγ. This sequence is identical to that of mouse.
Host Species: Rabbit
Preservatives: 0.02% sodium azide.
This antibody recognizes human, mouse, and rat IKKγ (52 kD). No cross-reactivity with IKKα, IKKβ or IKKε.
Immunoblotting: use at 1:500-1:1,000 dilution.
Positive control: Whole cell lysate from HeLa cells.
Dilute in PBS or medium which is identical to that used in the assay system.

This antibody is stable for at least one (1) year at -20°C. Avoid multiple freeze- thaw cycles.
