Anti-FLIP (NT) Antibody
Catalog No.: 1159
Size: 100ug IgG in PBS, pH 7.4, purified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
Caspase-8 (FLICE) and -10 (FLICE2) are two pivotal members of the ICE/CED-3 protease family. FLICE-inhibitory proteins have been identified in viruses and human cells and are designated v-FLIPs and FLIP, respectively. Human FLIP was cloned by several independent laboratories and designated Casper, I-FLICE, FLAME-1, CASH, and CLARP. FLIP contains two death effector domains and a caspase-like domain. FLIP interacts with adapter protein FADD and caspase-8 and -10 and potently inhibits apoptosis induced by all known death receptors. Four splice variants of FLIPs have been identified and designated.
Antigen: Peptide corresponding to aa 2-18 of human FLIP (accession no. AAC51622). This sequence is identical in all FLIP splice variants.
Host Species: Rabbit
Preservatives: 0.02% sodium azide.
This antibody recognizes all human, mouse, and rat FLIP splice variants.
Immunoblotting : use at 1-2ug/ml
Positive control: K562 cell lysate. Immunocytochemistry: use at 5ug/ml.
These are recommended concentrations. Enduser should determine optimal concentrations for their applications.
Dilute in PBS or medium which is identical to that used in the assay system.
STORAGE AND STABILITY
This antibody is stable for at least one (1) year at -20°C. Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
For in vitro investigational use only. Not for use in therapeutic or diagnostic procedures.
