Estrogen Receptor-β Monoclonal Antibody
Catalog No.: 3336
Size: 100 ug Protein G-purified antibody in PBS, pH 7.4
Antigen: 6-His fusion protein containing the region encoding aa 1-153 of human estrogen receptor-β (ER-β) expressed in E. coli.
Host Species: Mouse
Antibody Class: IgG2b/κ
Preservatives: None. Available on request.
This antibody recognizes human ER-β, a novel receptor (approx. 52 kD) recently isolated from testis. The size and structure of ER-β are very similar to ER-α with the ligand and DNA binding domains being highly conserved. The N-terminus of each receptor, which serves as their transactivation domain, are significantly different. Like ER-α, ER-β binds to estrogen with a high affinity and regulates estrogen-specific gene activation through direct interaction with estrogen response elements.
Immunoblotting: use at 1-5 ug/ml.
Positive controls: Native receptor from human thymus, spleen, ovary, and testis or recombinant protein.
Dilute in PBS or medium which is identical to that used in the assay system.
STORAGE AND STABILITY
This antibody is stable for at least one (1) year at -70°C. Avoid multiple freeze- thaw cycles.
For in vitro investigational use only. Not for use in therapeutic or diagnostic procedures.
