Chapsyn-110 is a member of the membrane-associated putative guanylate kinase (MAGUK) family. It binds directly to the NMDA receptor and Shaker K+ channel subunits and is 70-80% identical to PSD-95/SAP90 and SAP97. It mediates clustering of both NMDA receptors and K+ channels in heterologous cells. The encoded protein forms a heterodimer with PSD-95 that may interact at postsynaptic sites to form a multlimeric scaffold for the clustering of receptors, ion channels, and associated signaling proteins.
Antigen: Fusion protein corresponding to aa 1-852 of rat Chapsyn-110 (accession no. Q63622). This sequence is 94% homologous with human and 99% homologous with mouse Chapsyn-110.
Host Species: Mouse
Antibody Class: IgG1
This antibody recognizes human (weak), mouse, and rat Chapsyn-110. It does not react with PSD-95, SAP97, or SAP102.
Immunoblotting: use at 1-10ug/ml. A band of ~110kDa is detected.
Immunohistochemistry and Immunocytochemistry: use at 0.1-1ug/ml
Immunofluorescence: use at 1-10ug/ml
These are recommended concentrations. User should determine optimal concentrations for their application.
Positive control: Rat brain lysate.
Dilute in PBS or medium which is identical to that used in the assay system.

This antibody is stable for at least one (1) year at -20°C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
