Human Brain Derived Neurotrophic Factor Monoclonal Antibody
Catalog Nos.: 50170-500 (500ug) and 50170-1000 (1000ug)
Format: Lyophilized at 1mg/ml in PBS.
Brain Derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF) is a member of the nerve growth factor family of proteins. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants, at least one of which encodes a preproprotein that is proteolytically processed to generate the mature protein. Binding of this protein to its cognate receptor promotes neuronal survival in the adult brain. Expression of this gene is reduced in Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and Huntington’s disease patients. This gene may play a role in the regulation of the stress response and in the biology of mood disorders.
Antigen: Recombinant human BDNF.
Host Species: Mouse
Antibody Class: IgG
Clone No.: NYRhBDNF
Gene ID: 627
Accession no.: P23560
ELISA: use at 0.1-1ug/ml with BDNF on the solid phase. These are recommended concentrations. Endusers should determine optimal concentrations for their applications.
Reconstitute with sterile H2O. Mix gently, wash the sides of the vial and wait 30-60 seconds before use.
STORAGE AND STABILITY
Lyophilized product is stable at 4ºC in a dry environment. After reconstitution, store at -20ºC. Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
For in vitro investigational use only. Not for use in therapeutic or diagnostic procedures.
