Anti-Acetylated Lysine Monoclonal Antibody
ORDERING INFORMATION
Catalog No.: 56455 (clone 7F8)
Size: 100ug in PBS, pH 7.4, purified by Protein G affinity chromatography.
BACKGROUND
Acetylation is a common post-translational modification of lysine. The conserved amino-terminal domains of the four core histones (H2A, H2B, H3, and H4) contain lysines that are acetylated by histone acetyltransferases (HATs) and deacetylated by histone deacetylases (HDACs). Post- translational acetylation and deacetylation of lysine have been recognized as intracellular signals that are critical in regulating gene transcription, cell cycle progression, apoptosis, DNA repair, and cytoskeletal organization. Regulation of protein acetylation is impaired in some cancers and polyglutamine diseases, and HDACs are promising targets for anti-cancer drugs currently under investigation.
