Antibody Engineering: QED partners with Genovis AB

Creating new efficiencies in antibody design and modification

QED Bioscience, Inc. has entered an agreement with the Swedish biotechnology firm Genovis AB to distribute its antibody engineering technologies. These innovative products, called FabRICATOR, FcDOCKER, and IgGZERO provide users with easy, reproducible methods to modify antibodies for various applications.  

The mutually beneficial relationship gives QED Bioscience customers access to products that greatly simplify antibody design and modification, while Genovis AB gains a stable platform to increase visibility and customer contacts. QED will sell the full line of Genovis antibody engineering products in the U.S. and through its 17 distributors in Europe and Asia.

FabRICATOR
Before FabRICATOR, separating antibodies into Fab and Fc fragments has been time consuming, difficult and unpredictable.  FabRICATOR comes as a standalone reagent as well as a complete kit that provides an easy, totally standardized procedure that can be completed in as little as three hours.

FcDOCKER
Traditional purification methods often used low pH acids that damaged antibodies. FcDOCKER is a consistent, highly efficient reagent that uses no acids whatsoever.

IgGZERO
Removing carbohydrates attached to Fc fragments used to be difficult without damaging the antibody. Mixing the enzyme reagent IgGZERO with the antibody according to procedure easily removes carbohydrates without damaging the antibody.
